So after I played with freezer paper stenciling, I ordered some heat transfer vinyl. May I say “I am in love”? It is easy, and it is instant results (I love instant!). The freezer paper stenciling is great, but it normally took two coats of paint then having to wait for the paint to fully dry – it was a process. The heat transfer is cut, iron, done. I had so much fun with it, I couldn’t stop. Many of the items I made were Christmas presents, but many were also just for me.
As with the freezer paper stenciling, I put the cardboard cutting mat under my shirts to provide a sturdier surface to iron over the padded ironing board.
I ordered my heat transfer vinyl from Expressions Vinyl – they have good prices, but also have great sales and coupons.
