The Girls’ room is a small room off our bedroom that was part of the master suite addition that was done in 2005. The previous owners used it for their treadmill.
Before (these pictures were taken the day we first toured the house):
The first thing we did before moving in was remove the carpet and install vinyl plank flooring that looks like hardwood. This was a task that The Husband and I started together, but I completed by myself . We also had a sink added – in that we don’t have a real laundry room (just a laundry closet), we did not have a utility sink, and this is the perfect size to give the Girls baths and to wash out my paint brushes. We painted and added accessories and called it done.
Floor – TrafficMaster Allure Resilient Vinyl Plank Flooring
Wall Color – Behr Premium Plus Eggshell in Benjamin Moore’s Apple Blossom
Storage Racks – Ikea Grundtal Kitchen, Bathroom and Laundry series
L & M Monogram Plaques – Hobby Lobby
Picture Frames – Hobby Lobby and Michael’s – I covered the mats in the two of the girls with leftover fabric from the curtain. For their silhouettes, I enlarged a picture of each of them and cut it out on black scrapbook paper and covered the backing of the frame with the curtain fabric. The center frame includes pictures of our first two children who are no longer with us.
