A couple weeks ago I shared with you Happy’s middle daughter’s bedroom. Today I am going to share with you MK’s oldest daughter’s bedroom that just got a makeover. I think this room is fabulous and perfect for a pre-teen girl.
I took the above pictures of the room on a very sunny day – the sun played with the colors a bit; they are showing up more yellow than they really are. The below pictures of the dressers were taken on a cloudy day so you will see a bit of difference in the colors.
While I was taking pictures, Maggie’s favorite cousin came to see what we were doing. This is bear, and he is the sweetest little Maltese (we call him the Angel Dog!)
The dresser and nightstand along with their pulls were painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Florence with two coats of clear wax and then a coat of dark wax. We did not distress these pieces as they were originally white, and we did not want the white to show thru.
My favorite item in the room? Surprise – the framed monogram over the bed! It is simply a vinyl monogram applied directly to the wall with an open frame hung around it.
