I love floor plans. If you want to keep me occupied, just give me a book of floor plans, and I can look at it for hours. The Husband and I are never planning on building a house; we are not even planning on ever moving. However, it is still fun for me to look at floor plans and image how it would work for us, and what I would do differently. Well, from Pinterest I discovered Floorplanner.com, and oh boy, I had a ball drawing the floor plan of our house. I figured it would be easier for you to understand what I am talking about sometimes for you to actually see the floor plan so here it is (this is not perfectly to scale, but as close as I could get it measuring everything by myself as The Husband did not see this as fun at all):
- The original house ended at the kitchen and dining rooms; the carport, storage building and master suite were all included in the addition that was completed 5 years before we purchased the house.
- The size of the foyer when the kitchen is rather narrow – why didn’t they make the foyer smaller and the kitchen wider?!?
- For an older house, we do have a ton of closet space – there are 3 closets just in my craft room, a very large closet in the hall along with a linen closet, and yet another closet in the hall bathroom.
